Business English Training

DLUHR offers several training classes throughout the year for businesspeople who are seeking to improve their English in the office. Specifically targeted toward the business community, these courses are designed to enhance understanding of western business and social practices.

Mike Threatt started as Vice GM of Dalian Universal Human Resources in 2004 to bring DLUHR a deeper understanding of foreign business methods plus the perspective of a westerner with experience working in Asian cultures. Mike has more than 15 years of experience in education, training, & management including work in the US, South Korea, Japan, and more than 11 years in China as a trainer, manager, vice president, and vice GM. Having trained teachers from western and Asian countries he understands the techniques necessary to reach people from different cultures. Mike designs original courses for DLUHR to ensure the training material meets the needs of the client while students are able to comprehend and enjoy lessons at their specific level.

DLUHR maintains a state of the art Panasonic Language Lab in Room 2312 of the YinZhou Building at 11 QiYi Jie with individual listening stations, projection system, OHP, tape, VHS, and DVD capabilities.

Classes M5 / M6

Specifically targeted toward the business community, these courses are designed to enhance understanding of western business and social practices. Fee for each three-hour class is 400 RMB.

DLUHR Business Training is written specifically for businesspeople who work with foreign counterparts. Lessons cover a variety of business and social situations necessary for successful business and social interaction.

Business Presentations

Guidelines for giving presentations to western businesspeople. Instruction in formatting of information, speaking style, meeting protocol, and general meeting etiquette.

For regular Business Training we have a variety of programs covering language, culture, business etiquette, and presentation tailored to meet the needs of your local staff or employees new to China.

For employees who need help with language we have:

Basic Office English

For beginning English speakers who are the first in your office to greet foreigners and western business associates. This training stresses business etiquette relating to initial staff contact.

Advanced Language

–

English vocabulary and grammar for specific purposes. Material for these classes will be tailored to specific needs based on your company’s field of operations and students’ levels.

This training is recommended for expats and their families to ensure the effects of culture shock are kept to a minimum. Training covers everyday tasks (shopping, dealing with neighbors, and getting around town) that are taken for granted in one’s home country.
